GL's David Macdonald: What Does He Miss?

GL's David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund) loves his daytime gig, but would like to do theater again. "A lot of actors, especially the ones who came from doing stage work, do," he admits. "Doing soaps is a wonderful job. It's fun to get up and go to work a good portion of the week, whereas a stage actor goes to work every week usually looking for work. It's such a different experience to be in front of a camera, even though the camera is going to TV, which is going in front of millions of people. But performing in front of 1,000 or 500 or even 50 is a wonderful experience," he notes. "Every night, you may be doing the same show, but there is a new character in the show...and that's the audience."

POP QUIZ: By what name did he use to perform his piano-playing lounge act?
ANSWER: He went by Eddie Ivories.

Macdonald would love to do soaps and theater if possible.
