Talk To Me
| His daughter Elena is just shy of a year old, and not much of a
conversationalist. But David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund) says that his son
Ian, age 3-and-a-half, is quite the chatterbox. "He picked up massive amounts
of language very early," praises the rather cerebral actor. "Things like,
'No, Mommy, I would not like to do that.' Even at 2, he was speaking in complete
sentences with all the verbs and subjects and objects in the right place.
And often the verb tense was correct!" With such an intellectual for a father
and a poet for a mother, it's no wonder that Ian learned to converse at such
a young age. "I think it has a lot to do with the fact that his mother and
I talk a blue streak," admits Macdonald. "I think he's just basically trying
to get a word in edgewise!"
