Steel Stomach
Whether in a flight with turbulence or a hospital delivery room, David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund) never lets them see him sweat. "I have a weird way of detaching myself in situations like that," he explains to us. "I don't have a weak stomach." Case in point: The patient papa didn't miss a moment of his son Ian's birth. "You hear stories of fathers passing out, but I felt more like a nurse," the actor says. "I was fascinated, as it was quite amazing to watch." Macdonald's cool demeanor allows him to handle even the most unpleasant situations. "It's like being on a plane when everyone is throwing up. I'm fine. I just think to myself, it's not as bad as WWII when they flew a couple of thousand miles with one engine and one missing piece of the wing," Macdonald reasons. "Unless that is the case, I feel we will probably be okay. I have a tendency to look at things reasonably and find a way to deal with that." |
